Rehakka
Rehakka and Irjala were established around the estates of the same name in the 1920s as a result of tenant farming and cottage settlement. Currently, there are about 80 residents, but the small village has strength and energy. The good aspects are the peace of the countryside and the closeness to nature; in Rehakka, one can live spaciously, but the village has a central location close to everything.
The village’s attractions include Rehakka’s Riviera beach, Unikon Castle Hill, Isonpiirinkallio, and the Pauninmaa nature site. In summer, there are dances at the Löyttyniemi barn loft.
In 2004, the village book “Veri vetää Rehakkaan” was published. Every year, a traditional Christmas party is held at Willa Göös. Almost 40 villagers are always present.

Unikonlinna is a protected possible ancient castle hill and fortification. A rather inconspicuous path leads to Unikonlinna from Rehakantie; there is no designated parking area. A majestic cliff found in the middle of the forest surprises first-time visitors.
Rehakka and Irjala Village Association
The village association was established in 1999. The association actively organizes events such as Christmas celebrations, meetings for new and old residents, and summer dances in Rehakka at the Löyttyniemi barn loft. Collaboration is done with other villages in Janakkala and many other organizations that promote village development.
With EU funds and volunteer work, the municipal swimming beach Rehakka’s Riviera and magnificent sanitary facilities have been renovated for the joy of those attending Rehakka dances. The village’s activities are guided by common values: reliability, activity, nature, togetherness, traditions, silence, and spiritual values.
