Sports hall, field, and swimming hall bookings

Janakkala uses the electronic Timmi booking calendar for reserving sports facilities provided by the municipal sports services and local schools. During the current season, users can submit one-time or recurring booking requests through the calendar. A request becomes a confirmed booking once it is approved by the sports services. Sports services allow the use of the facilities outside of school and daycare hours. All available facilities can be found in the Timmi booking calendar.

The sports services process incoming reservation requests once a week, primarily on Mondays. If there are urgent reservation needs, please contact us by phone. You can also send inquiries about the reservation status and related questions via email to tilavaraukset@janakkala.fi

Important: The person responsible for time slots outside the swimming hall’s opening hours must demonstrate their rescue skills to the lifeguard during the hall’s opening hours. The rescue performance is conducted in the large pool regardless of which pool is used by the time slot holder. Rescue performance: Jump into the large pool from the shallow end feet first, swim to the deep end and retrieve the doll from the bottom + lifting it to the edge in a continuous performance. The presence of the person who has performed the rescue is a requirement for holding the pool time slot. The reservation conditions found at the bottom of the page apply to all time slots.

Regular time slots must be applied for electronically through the Timmi booking system.

Outdoor field time slots must be applied for by 31 January 2025.

Summer 2025 time slots for Turenki Sports Hall and Delfort Arena, as well as winter season time slots for sports halls, and school and daycare gyms must be applied for between 1 and 31 March 2025.

Swimming hall time slots at Tervakoski Swimming Hall must be applied for between 1 and 31 May 2025.

During the ongoing season, individual or recurring time slots can still be requested within the system.

As part of the winter season indoor time slot application, an event will be arranged for organizations applying for regular slots, where it is possible to negotiate with other organizations applying for slots before the application period ends. Participation in the event is required for organizations applying for at least 5 hours per week.

Electronic time slot application
Time slots are applied for electronically through the Timmi booking system. The municipality of Janakkala has a joint electronic service with Hämeenlinna Sports Halls Oy and Hattula municipality for managing training slots at sports venues. Applying for time slots requires registration in the Timmi booking system.
Additionally, the club/organization must define representatives on the form found on this page who will be granted reservation/application rights on behalf of the club/organization.

The outdoor fields season runs from 1 April to 31 October. (The actual start and end dates depend on weather conditions. Permission to use the field is granted by the Head of Sports services.)

The summer 2025 season for Turenki and Tervakoski sports halls is from 1 May to 31 July.
School and daycare gyms are generally closed during the summer season.

The winter season for Turenki and Tervakoski sports halls runs from 1 August to 31 May, and for school and daycare gyms from 1 September to 31 May.

The Tervakoski swimming hall’s operational season for reservations outside regular opening hours is from 11 August to 14 June, and for bookings within regular opening hours from 11 August to 24 May.

Before the decisions on field and hall slots, the head of sports services uses a draft of the time slot distribution for comments from those who have applied for slots. The head of sports services decides on the time slot distribution. Decisions on outdoor field slots will be communicated by the end of February. For sports halls and gymnasiums, decisions regarding summer slots will be communicated by mid-April and for winter season slots by the end of May.

When granting usage slots for facilities, the intended use of the halls and the equipment will be taken into account.
