The Janakkala school network is large and diverse. There are nine primary schools and two lower secondary schools at the moment. The upper secondary school locations operate in the same buildings as the lower secondary schools. The smallest school has just over 20 students, while the largest has over 400 students. After the school year 2025-2026, Heinäjoki and Vähikkälä schools will be closed, and after the school year 2026-2027, Tanttala and Virala schools will be closed by decision of the Municipal Council (April 27, 2026, Sections 26-29).
