Villages
Village activity has changed rapidly in recent years. Rural living has risen to become one of the fundamental pillars of a good life. Safety, spacious living, and proximity to nature have created a desire to live in villages and rural areas. The village association is, in most villages, the most significant responsible actor and operator. The goal of village activities is that residents as individuals and households receive concrete benefits from village activities. Villages must actively participate in securing their services in rural areas. At the same time, they can experience personal joy from being part of village activities. Village activities may not be able to tackle all challenges alone. In implementing a good vibrant village, it is important for villages to cooperate openly with other villages and local actors.

Village mentor activity
The first village mentors started in the municipality of Janakkala in 2022. A village mentor is a link between a new resident and the village.
