One of the main objectives of Janakkala’s strategy is that “Janakkala is a community-oriented and entrepreneurial municipality, to which everyone contributes to its development.” Participation is an essential part of the municipality’s operations at all levels.

The participation program outlines the forms and principles of engaging the municipal organization. Concrete actions have been listed below. The municipal council approved the participation program in its meeting on May 20, 2019. The program came into effect on June 1, 2019, and it has been updated in 2022 as part of the strategy.
