Partnership Table
The partnership table is a way of operating where the right people from different sectors (residents, entrepreneurs, associations, representatives of villages, etc., groups, officials, elected representatives) come together to solve a problem or develop a desired issue. Solutions are sought for a common goal, weighing different perspectives equally and delving into factual information. Ideally, the participants of the partnership table, along with their backgrounds, start to act towards the goal of the partnership table according to the agreed-upon steps.
Some matters can be implemented quickly when the right people meet. Larger issues may require extensive follow-up work and municipal decisions.
The partnership table is primarily hosted by the municipality, but the representative/s of the municipality work in the table as equals to all other participants.
The partnership table does not have decision-making authority, but if necessary, its outcomes can be taken to decision-making processes.
In Janakkala, the partnership table is one of the tools for co-development. The operation of the partnership table is genuine interaction and inclusion, discussion, and being heard.
When making a proposal, please note that suitable topics for the partnership table are those that cannot be resolved by the municipality alone, but require the involvement of different parties and residents.
This is how the partnership table works.
