Multidisciplinary learning entities are implemented at Harviala School as workshop activities in age-diverse groups. Kindergarteners, first graders, and second graders form their own group, while third and fourth graders work together, and fifth and sixth graders have their own group. In all grade levels, four hours per week are allocated for workshop activities. The core contents and objectives of the workshop activities follow the Environmental Studies curriculum, which is complemented by skill and arts subjects. The workshop activities also include contents from the native language, mathematics, religion, and philosophy, as well as history and English for the upper grades.
