Notification

According to Section 118 of the Environmental Protection Act (527/2014), the operator must make a written notification to the municipal environmental protection authority regarding construction, public events, or any other activities or events that cause temporary noise or vibration, if the noise or vibration is expected to be particularly disruptive. However, notifications are not required for activities that require an environmental permit, for activities related to an individual’s household, or for the activities of the defense forces. The notification must be made well in advance of starting the action or commencing the activity, but no later than 30 days before this date.
