Technical committee

The technical committee and its subordinate result areas provide, among other things, the following services:

  • Environmental services:
    Tasks related to building supervision, as well as permit and inspection duties under the Municipal Environmental Administration Act, the Environmental Protection Act, and the Land Extraction Act.
  • Land Use:
    Prerequisites for community development, including master and detailed planning, planning and deviation decisions, geographic information services, and management of municipal land assets.
  • Rural and village services:
    Grants for maintenance and improvement of private roads, development of village activities and rural areas, and the provision of rural administrative services through the Häme Rural Services Unit.
  • Property services:
    Planning, construction management, building, and maintenance of municipal properties.
  • Investments:
    Planning, implementation, and supervision of building construction and infrastructure investments.
  • Public area services:
    Planning, construction management, building, and maintenance of streets, roads, green areas, and other public spaces (such as market squares, public carpet washing areas, etc.).
  • Food services:
    Food services for daycare centers, schools, and care services.
  • Cleaning services:
    Daily cleaning of municipal premises and properties.
  • Sports services:
    Creating opportunities for promoting residents’ health and well-being; sports facilities include a swimming hall, sports hall, bowling alley, and various sports and outdoor recreation areas.

The technical committee consists of 9 members and meets approximately once a month. In addition, a representative from the youth council participates in the meetings of the technical committee, with the right to attend and speak.

The minutes are verified on the Friday of the meeting week, and the verified minutes are officially available in the municipality’s general network on the first working day of the week following the meeting, as well as publicly available in the technical services office on the first working day of the week following the meeting from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
