The Janakkala Youth Council is a participatory and influencing channel for young people aged 13-18 living in the municipality, and its activities are politically and religiously neutral.

The Youth Council’s mission is to enhance and improve young people’s opportunities for participation and influence, ensure that young people are heard in matters concerning them, and serve as a messenger between the youth and decision-makers.

The Youth Council organizes annual discussion events and training, takes positions, makes proposals, statements, and suggestions on issues concerning young people. It also encourages all young people to act, influence, and think for themselves.

The Youth Council annually handles the reporting of events/purchases/activities funded by youth services grants.
