National Week of Older People will be celebrated 5.–11.10.2026 with the theme Everyday encounters.

The theme Everyday encounters captures what the association’s work is fundamentally about: moments between people that may not seem large but that have enormous significance for an older person’s everyday life. The theme reminds us that a good everyday life is not created only by structures, services and systems, but by a genuine encounter — a look, being heard, someone stopping to stay a while.
