The municipality of Janakkala is involved in a club project aimed at providing students with as diverse clubs as possible in collaboration with partners. The project supports the educational provider’s goals by increasing school enjoyment, reducing bullying, promoting exercise (with at least one sports club at the school), and enhancing cooperation with associations, businesses, and clubs.

School clubs are a free basic activity of schools and offer students the opportunity to spend quality free time with their classmates. Clubs serve as a counterbalance to schoolwork, rather than just extending lessons from morning to evening. In school clubs, children and young people can engage in activities they are genuinely interested in. There are no performance pressures in the clubs.

 The club leaders are teachers, parents, and partners (e.g., local sports clubs).
