Janakkala’s electronic building permit service improves the accessibility of building control. The service can be accessed at any time. Builders and other parties involved in the construction project receive planning information, can submit a permit application or notification, and communicate with stakeholders during different phases of the project.

With the service, you can:

  • apply for permits for most construction-related projects, including building permits, action permits, demolition permits, landscape work permits, and extensions for construction
  • track the status of your permit application and add attachments to the application
  • view previously created electronic permit applications

Submitting a permit application requires strong electronic identification. This is done using online bank credentials or a mobile certificate. More detailed instructions for using the service can be found in the instructions section below.

Generally, the application is filled out by the client’s authorized main planner. Special planners and those involved with the construction project have the right to follow the processing of the application and to supplement it.

The permit application should be submitted primarily through the electronic system used by the municipality of Janakkala (documents in pdf format). If the permit application is submitted on paper, the municipality will charge 100€ for converting the documents to electronic format in addition to the actual scanning costs.
