Early childhood education in Janakkala is implemented in municipal daycares, family daycare, and private daycares. A place in early childhood education is not tied to the family’s residential area – it can be applied for in the desired early childhood education unit. Early childhood education is offered either full-time or part-time, and if necessary, shift care is arranged according to the family’s needs. A place in early childhood education can be applied for year-round, but no later than four (4) months before starting. If the need for early childhood education is acute, a place must be applied for no later than two (2) weeks before starting. The right to early childhood education ends at the end of July of the year the child turns seven (7) years old.

Registration for pre-primary education takes place in February, and at the same time, one can also apply for complementary early childhood education. The application is primarily filled out through electronic services, eDaisy. If for some reason using eDaisy is not possible, fill out the printable application (in Finnish).
