Afternoon activities

The after-school program at Tervakoski School offers a safe and stimulating leisure environment and guided activities for first and second graders, as well as for all students in need of special support, after school hours.

The purpose of the after-school program is to support the child’s growth and development, to lay the foundation for good leisure activities, and to assist families in fulfilling their educational responsibilities. The program aims to prevent risk factors associated with unsupervised time use and solitude for children.

The planning of the after-school program is based on individual and community needs, as well as aspects related to social growth. The goal is to provide the child with diverse and refreshing activities that take their needs into account, while also allowing for rest and solitude. Events that occurred during the school day are, whenever possible, considered in the activities.
