Electronic support application
The purpose of the youth activity support in Janakkala is to promote diverse youth activities, enable recreational activities, diversify events planned and carried out by young people, and enhance cooperation among various actors. The support is targeted and discretionary. When granting support, attention is paid to the need for support, the quality and scope of the applicant’s activities, the impact of the activities on youth activities in the community, and any other support received by the applicant. Youth activity support is not granted to individuals, businesses, or central organizations. Support can be applied for using an electronic form throughout the year, provided that each applicant group can only receive one support per year.
Support is granted to youth associations and groups of young people in Janakkala.
- Youth associations, local member associations of national organizations, and youth sections of adult organizations with their own accounting can apply for support. A local registered youth association is considered eligible if 2/3 of its members are under 29 years old.
- A group of young people can be a youth group such as a school class, a hobby group, or an open group of young people who come together to implement an idea. The responsible person of the group must be of legal age, and the activities organized by the group must reach beyond the core group.
Supportable activities may include training events, youth events, camp activities, international activities, or the acquisition of new equipment. The primary aim is to develop and increase activities targeted at young people and/or activities planned and organized by young people themselves. The activities must be organized and safety matters must be taken into careful consideration. The activities must be demonstrably free of substances. Supported activities cannot be used to organize profit-making activities.
Support can be received in the amount of €50 – 500.
Support for youth activities can be applied for year-round using an electronic form, which must include the following information:
- description of the group’s purpose of activity
- requested amount of support and bank account details
- description of the planned activities and cost estimate
- consideration of safety and substance-free aspects in the activities
- information on other support or grants for the activities
- responsible persons for the activities
Support must be applied for at least two months before the planned activities take place. The decisions on support are made by the youth services director. Applicants will be informed of the decisions electronically. Reports on supported activities and the use of funds must be submitted to the youth office within two months. Activities will be reported using an electronic reporting form. Reports of the supported activities will be processed annually in December at the youth council meeting. If the activities do not proceed as planned, the applicant must immediately contact the youth office. If the activities are canceled or their nature significantly changes, the support may be reclaimed at the decision of the head of youth services.
