Once you have registered as an unemployed job seeker (or if your unemployment continues and your service needs are reassessed), discuss with your responsible specialist whether you need a pay subsidy to obtain employment. Job seekers who have been unemployed for a longer period have the option to express their willingness to work in a pay-subsidized job, and this will be recorded in your information.
The pay subsidy is 50% or 70% depending on whether it concerns a lack of professional skills or reduced work capacity (e.g. medical statement B).
The pay subsidy is a financial subsidy that compensates the employer for part of the recruitment costs. Employers can only receive pay subsidies for hiring individuals who have registered as unemployed job seekers, and it must be applied for before the employment begins. The pay subsidy can be applied for starting from the beginning of 2025 at the Local Government’s online service. If you get a job, ask your employer to submit the pay subsidy application well in advance before the employment begins. After a positive decision, the employment relationship can start.
