Employment services also assist local businesses with employment related issues.
In Janakkala, in addition to the services of the Veturi Business Building, advisory and guidance services are available for recruiting new staff, including information about subsidies that can be received for employment and finding a suitable person. We also support skill development in workplaces.

- Hämeen New Business Center advises, serves, and assists individuals establishing a business in Hattula, Hämeenlinna, or Janakkala. The services are free of charge and absolutely confidential.
In Janakkala, entrepreneurs are served by Business Building Veturi. The Janakkala vitality team is located in Veturi, where all the services needed by entrepreneurs are centralized. Veturi is a low-threshold place to discuss business premises and land solutions or business advisory services.
The Janakkala vitality team includes Head of Vitality Ismo Holstila, Managing Director of Janakkala Business Development Markus Myhrberg, and Head of Business Services Antti Aaltonen.
Veturi is located in Turenki, next to the municipal hall at Juttilantie 1.

Municipal support for employers
The municipality supports employers with discretionary financial and incentive subsidies that facilitate recruitment, staying in the workforce, and skill development. The forms of support are:

Recruitment support assists in hiring a new employee from Janakkala and facilitates the company’s recruitment process. The conditions for support are:
- Support: 40% of the basic salary, lasting for a maximum of 1 year. Exceptions apply to apprenticeship training, where the duration is discretionary.
- Goal: To enable a risk-free opportunity for the company to hire a new employee.
- Skill development: Always included in the process when possible.

Career support assists the employee’s continued employment and skill development. The conditions for support are:

Support: 25% of the basic salary, lasting until the employment condition is fulfilled.

Target: Can be granted for an existing or ongoing employment contract.

Use: Particularly suitable for continued employment after wage support when employment is uncertain.

The employment voucher is financial support provided by the municipality for hiring a job seeker from Janakkala.
General conditions:

Application: The company applies for the voucher before the employment begins. The applicant’s situation affects the approval. The decision is made by the head of employment and integration services.

Amount:
-
3000€ One-time compensation for a full-time employment lasting one year, when the employment condition is fulfilled.

1500€ Calculated one-time compensation for employment lasting less than one year. Example amount for 6-months of employment when the employment condition is fulfilled. The amount may vary depending on the duration of employment.

1000€ One-time compensation for employment lasting at least 10 months if the employment condition is fulfilled during pay-subsidized employment.

Payment: The support is paid as a one-time payment based on the company’s invoicing (VAT 0%) after the support period ends, when the employment condition has been verified.

Requirements: The employer must act impeccably and comply with collective agreements. Support is granted at the discretion of the assessment by the employment and integration services.
Grant criteria:

Supports full-time work.

The duration of employment must be at least 1 year or until the employment condition is fulfilled.

Generally not granted for pay-subsidized employment, except in exceptional cases (e.g., employment support for those over 55 or pay subsidy granted on the basis of reduced work capacity).
How to apply for an employment voucher:

Determine the jobseeker’s eligibility for the voucher through employment services.

Form an employment contract normally and fulfill employer obligations.

You will receive a decision on the voucher grant by email.

Janakkala’s employment services want to support the municipality’s employers with an employment bonus when a new employee is hired for a position where the employment condition has been met.
The company can invoice the employment bonus for hiring a job seeker from Janakkala when the employment has lasted long enough for the person’s employment condition to be fulfilled. The fulfillment of the employment condition must be verifiable when applying for the employment bonus.
