Facilities

The sports hall was completed in spring 1997. The facilities have been in effective use since the hall was completed. The Turenki sports hall includes a hall (38m x 23m), an athletics area (running track 2 lanes 60 m, with a long jump pit and an area at the end of the track with a throwing wall) and a gym. Reservations for the sports hall can be made through the sports manager and gym cards can be obtained at the library customer service point.

Hall 38m x 23m

The hall can be divided into three sections with two dividing curtains. Each section is 12m x 23m, with a free height of 8 m. There are two changing rooms for each section.

Section 1 and Section 2

• school basketball, school floorball, volleyball, badminton, gymnastics

Section 3

• school basketball, school floorball, volleyball, badminton, artistic gymnastics

Whole hall

• futsal, basketball, floorball, tennis
• three volleyball courts side by side or one competition court lengthwise
• three badminton courts

Seating for 210 people and a balcony seating for 100 people. For large public events, there are also 300 movable chairs available.

Athletics area

• running track, 2 lanes 60 m (total length 78 m)
• long jump and triple jump
• throwing wall
• high jump and pole vault

Gym

The gym at Turenki sports hall has a variety of equipment for starting gym training as well as for maintaining and developing overall body strength.

Parking

It is hoped that for sports use, the parking area on the side of the sports hall at Haltiantie and Ylikyläntie will be used, so that parking spaces near the library can be saved for library customers.

Café Library Corner

Salty and sweet products from our own oven. Quality home-cooked meals for lunch considering special diets. It is also possible to order larger quantities of lunch food in advance. We also provide catering services by order.
