All TE services became municipal services

Starting from January 2025, employment and economic services will be transferred to municipalities, and state employment and economic offices, i.e., TE offices, will be closed. Employment services will become part of the basic services of each municipality, similar to services related to education or community construction.

With the help of employment services, both individual and business clients receive advice and guidance on job searching and recruitment of employees, as well as skills development. We can tailor services to meet the needs of our residents and local entrepreneurs, which enhances the vitality and competitiveness of our municipality and region.

We provide employment services in collaboration with the municipalities of Hausjärvi and Loppi, as well as the city of Riihimäki, forming the South Häme employment area.  You can find more information about employment services, service points, and contact details on our employment area’s website.

We promote the integration of immigrants

The TE reform and the comprehensive reform of the integration law, known as the KOTO reform, go hand in hand. The new integration law will come into effect simultaneously with the TE reform on January 1, 2025. The municipality is now responsible for promoting the integration of both unemployed job seekers and those outside the labor force. We will organize services for job-seeking immigrants in collaboration with the municipalities of Riihimäki, Hausjärvi, and Loppi as the South Häme employment area.
