Leppälammintie

The area can be accessed from Lammintie, where there is a sign for Suurisuo. By walking along the guided nature path, one can reach the Suurisuon bird tower from the parking area, or by car from the direction of Leppälammi.

From the tower, one can observe the life of birds nesting in the swamp and its surrounding forests. The most typical species in the swamp area are the black grouse, raven, and among the birds of prey nesting in the area are the osprey, hen harrier, and Eurasian marsh harrier. Additionally, in the spruce forest next to the tower, various tit and thrush species, common redstart, willow warbler, and Eurasian siskin nest. Walking along the boardwalk path in the swamp, one might hear the melancholy whistle of the whimbrel, which nests rarely in Southern Finland.
