Rules of Order
The aim of the high school’s rules is to ensure a safe, peaceful, and pleasant study environment for everyone.
In matters not specifically mentioned in the rules, applicable laws, regulations, and other guidelines provided by the high school shall be followed. The high school’s rules are guidelines for conduct.
1. Study peace
Every member of the high school community has the right to a disturbance-free working environment and the obligation to consider others’ opportunities to work and to promote them.
The use of items not related to studying during lessons is prohibited.
Mobile phones and other information and communication technology tools may be used in teaching situations with the teacher’s permission.
2. Safety
Every member of the high school community has the obligation to promote safety without compromising their own safety.
Bringing dangerous items such as knives and fire-starting tools into the high school or its events is prohibited.
3. Protection of property
Every member of the high school community is responsible for their personal property and has the obligation to handle the high school’s and others’ property with care.
If a student intentionally or carelessly damages the property of the high school or another student, they are liable for compensation. The damage must be reported to a teacher.
Every member of the high school community is responsible for keeping the school’s facilities clean and pleasant.
4. Behavior
In high school, one must behave appropriately and politely and consider others. Assigned tasks must be carried out diligently.
Events related to the high school’s activities include events organized by the high school, such as trips and familiarity visits. The rules provided by the high school and the visited location must be followed at these events.
Physically and mentally harming another person, violence, bullying, and harassment are prohibited.
Bringing tobacco, smoking implements, alcohol, drugs, and snuff into the high school and its events is prohibited. Possession and use of these during school hours is also prohibited.
5. Participation in education
A student must participate in education regularly. A student must complete assigned tasks diligently and by the deadline. The student is obligated to obtain necessary materials for studying on time. Absence is only allowed in case of illness or with granted permission. Students must arrive at lessons according to the schedule.
6. Disciplinary measures
A student who disrupts teaching may be ordered to leave the teaching space for the remainder of the lesson.
A student who disrupts teaching or otherwise violates the rules or acts dishonestly may receive a written warning. Serious violations may result in temporary expulsion from the high school.
7. Emergency situations
In emergency situations, follow the instructions given by the teacher and the building’s safety plan.
8. Photography
During the school day, it is strictly prohibited to photograph or record anything related to bullying, violence, or other inappropriate behavior. Such material may not be shared on any social media platforms. Such photography may be interpreted as voyeurism or an invasion of privacy and is strictly prohibited.
Cheating in academic performance
Cheating, such as cheating during an exam, directly leads to failing the partial performance (grade 4). Similarly, dishonest behavior during a thesis or presentation, such as plagiarism or direct use of ChatGPT without appropriate referencing, also leads to failing the partial performance (grade 4).
All cases of cheating will be reported to the student’s guardians, and the student will receive a written warning.
Plagiarism means using another person’s ideas, information, language, or writing without appropriately citing the original source.
Cheating in digital exams
If you accidentally turn off your computer during an exam, do not restart it yourself. Notify the supervisor, and you will restart the computer together back into the test system. Independent restarting of the computer will always be considered an attempt to cheat, leading to failure of the exam and a warning.
If the exam is conducted electronically, internet access is basically allowed. In this case, visiting anywhere other than the exam page will be considered an attempt to cheat. Clearing the browser history is also considered cheating.
If something unexpected happens during the exam (e.g., you accidentally do something you didn’t intend), immediately contact the supervisor to avoid misunderstandings and unfounded suspicions of cheating.
Disciplinary measures and procedures
According to Section 21, subsection 3 of the High School Act (629/1998, amended by Act 1268/2013), the education provider must formulate and provide guidance on the use of disciplinary measures and related procedures in conjunction with the curriculum.
