Road and investment permits

The municipality grants permits for the placement of cables and other wires and equipment on their owned areas. The property engineer decides on the aforementioned permits within the detailed planning area, and the technical committee decides outside the detailed planning area.

Processing times for permits:

NOTE! New permits will not be processed between 23.12-31.12.2024. During this time, for emergency work / urgent excavations, please contact the construction supervisor directly.

The placement permit application must be submitted in good time, at least 3 weeks before the start of work. The processing time for the placement permit from the receipt of the application is 2–8 weeks, depending on the number of other permits being processed simultaneously and the scope of the project. When applying for a street and excavation permit, the processing time is approximately 2 weeks. Work cannot begin before an approved permit decision and/or contrary to the conditions presented in the permit decision.

If a permit is needed in a sparsely populated area, the technical committee decides on the permit, which may take longer than usual. There may be exceptions in permit processing during holiday periods. However, we strive to keep processing times within normal limits so that the necessary work progresses as planned.
