The Equality Act requires educational institutions to have an equality plan. The operational equality plan includes an assessment of the equality situation at Janakkala High School and plans for necessary measures for the development of equality.
According to the upper secondary school law, students have the right to a safe learning environment (LL21 § 1268/2013). The organizer of education must ensure the physical, psychological, and social safety of both students and staff in all situations. Promoting safety and well-being is part of the school’s operational culture, and it must be taken into account in the school’s activities.
