You can visit the Ida Aalberg Museum, which is turning 50, during Leppäkoski Days on 22 August.

Leppäkoski station master’s house, the childhood home of actress legend Ida Aalberg, has been a museum for 50 years this year. Initially the museum building was leased from the State Railways and the museum consisted of only 2 rooms. After the municipality purchased the building in the 2000s, the museum exhibition expanded to the entire building.

The museum is open on Leppäkoski Day, 22 August from 12:00 to 16:00.
There will be poetry performances indoors at 12:30 and 13:30:
Recitation artist Oili Ruukki: life of a child in Leppäkoski in the 1950s and an Ida reminiscence.
On the museum lawn there is a giant soap bubble workshop at 12:00 and 14:00.

Welcome to learn about the life of Ida Aalberg!
