The senior and disability advisory board offers interested people the opportunity to observe the first meeting of the autumn. The open meeting will be held on Wednesday, August 28, from 13:00–15:00 in the council hall of Janakkala municipal hall (address: Juttilantie 1, 14200 Turenki).
The Democracy project will provide coffee at 12:30 before the meeting.

The senior and disability advisory board is a statutory and permanent advisory body. Advisory bodies ensure their interest groups’ opportunities to participate and influence municipal decision-making, planning and services.

The task of the senior and disability advisory board is to safeguard the rights and interests of older people and people with disabilities in the municipality, to act as their voice and to ensure that their needs are taken into account in decision-making. Its operations are based on the Act on the Status and Rights of Older People, the Disability Services Act and the Local Government Act.
