The Momentum business fair, held for the first time, showcases the region’s businesses.
The first Momentum Business Fair will be held in Riihimäki on Saturday, 3 October 2026. The free event at Cocks Areena brings together companies, entrepreneurs, municipal actors and residents from Riihimäki, Hausjärvi, Loppi and Janakkala.
“The Momentum Business Fair is a visible starting shot for even stronger regional cooperation. We want to bring companies closer to residents and raise awareness of the region’s expertise,” says Business Riihimäki CEO Samuel Koivisto.
As many as 5,000 visitors are expected at the fair to explore local services, discover new companies and meet entrepreneurs from their area face to face.
Business Riihimäki, Riihimäen Yrittäjät ry and the City of Riihimäki organise the business fair in cooperation with the municipalities of Hausjärvi, Janakkala and Loppi and with entrepreneurs and entrepreneurs’ organisations.
The event aims to raise the profile of regional companies, increase cooperation and strengthen the vitality of the area. At the same time, residents will have the opportunity to get to know the companies, services and expertise of their own region.
Approximately 4,300 active companies operate in the Riihimäki region across various divisions from industry and construction to services, trade as well as wellbeing and professional services. Companies create jobs, services and growth in the area, but their expertise is not always visible to residents.
“The Momentum Business Fair opens a new path to a more competitive Riihimäki region and stronger cooperation between companies and municipalities. Now is the right time to build this future together,” says the City Manager of Riihimäki, Jouni Eho.
In recent years Riihimäki has strengthened cooperation between entrepreneurs and the city, for example by launching together with Riihimäen Yrittäjät a sponsor scheme by city councillors for companies. The business fair continues the same goal on a regional scale.
“The fair offers companies a unique opportunity to showcase their expertise, meet new customers and highlight the importance of entrepreneurship across the whole area,” says the Chair of Riihimäen Yrittäjät, Mikko Suonpää.
The free event is open to the public on Saturday 3 October from 10:00 to 18:00. During the day Cocks Areena will host company presentations, speeches, entertainment and other programmes for visitors of all ages.
