The library bus and association grants are on the welfare committee’s agenda

The welfare committee will decide on its part of the financial blancing program on May 7, 2026.

The proposal includes, among other things, the discontinuation of the library bus service and donating the vehicle to charity. In practice, the library bus has not run since January. The vehicle is old and its functionalities do not meet modern working conditions.

The financial balancing also includes an item on updating the fees for sports services. The proposal, among other things, states that fees will be introduced for training slots for under-18s in all facilities administered by the municipality. New proposed fees are presented in a separate news article.

The welfare committee also distributes association grants. Grants to be distributed include wellbeing grants, village grants, environmental grants, cultural grants and sports grants. Grant recipients can be found on the agenda.
