Löyttymäentie is closed due to bridge work September 14-18, 2026

Sisä-Suomen elinvoimakeskus (Inner Finland’s Economic Development Centre) will renew the concrete deck of the Kansikkala bridge on road 13857 (Löyttymäentie) in Janakkala. Due to the installation work, the road will be closed and vehicular traffic will be directed to a detour from September 14-18, 2026.

The Kansikkala bridge is a slab bridge built in 1951 and in poor condition. The bridge is currently undergoing major renovation, during which the bridge deck slab will be renewed.

The road will be closed at the bridge from Monday, September 14 at 09:00 to Friday, September 18 at 20:00. The work site is located in Löyttymäki at the Sahalammi water crossing.
During the work, a detour for vehicular traffic between Saloinen and Jokimaa will be used: Saloistentie (Mt 13857) – Lammintie (Mt 292) – Korventie (Mt 13859) – Mallinkaistentie (Mt 13856).

The work will cause significant disruption to traffic.

The works are part of the inner Finland’s pipe-bridge and culvert contract 2026, in which the Economic development centre renews several sites across Pirkanmaa and Kanta-Häme. The contractor is Ylöjärven Kiviset Oy.
