Elastinen to be the keynote speaker – over 40 exhibitors coming to the first Momentum business fair
One of Finland’s best-known names in the music world will be a guest speaker at the Momentum business fair, held for the first time. Elastinen will take the fair stage to talk about his career and his journey to the top.
During the interview Elastinen explains how he has built his long career as an artist. At the same time it becomes clear what courage, persistence and believing in one’s own dreams mean to a musician. The red thread of the interview is the themes of Elastinen’s song “Eteen ja ylös”. The song is one of Elastinen’s best-known and most popular.
“The secret to a long career is to believe in yourself and to recognize that you have gifts for this. In difficult moments you must lean on past successes and trust that one day you will succeed again. You just have to keep going and find ways to enjoy the grind,” Elastinen says.
Elastinen is one of Finland’s most popular and successful artists. Career highlights include his solo work and Fintelligens, the record label Rähinä Records, as well as music-focused TV productions and speaking engagements.
After the interview and performance starting at 1 PM, Elastinen will meet his fans on the fair arena. In addition to Elastinen, the stage will feature work demonstrations and company presentations. All stage events will be streamed to the media cube in the arena’s ceiling, so it is easy to follow the fair program from the arena stands as well.
Over 40 exhibitors
More than 40 exhibitors have already registered for the business fair to be held in Riihimäki on Saturday, October 3. The company offering is diverse: companies from all four municipalities of the Riihimäki region are taking part — Riihimäki, Janakkala, Loppi and Hausjärvi — and the divisions range from an IT operator to a local farmer.
“There is a clear need for the event in the region. Entrepreneurs have welcomed the event enthusiastically. I trust that the free event and the varied program will also interest residents of the region,” says Business Riihimäki’s event manager Tomi Hänninen.
As many as 5,000 visitors are expected to explore local services, discover new companies and meet entrepreneurs from their area face to face. The event aims to raise the profile of regional businesses, increase cooperation and strengthen the area’s vitality. At the same time residents will get to learn about the companies, services and expertise in their own region.
Six main partners
The main cooperation partners of the Momentum business fair are Asianajotoimisto Annia Oy, OP Häme, Hyria Oy, Accounting Firm Aarnio, Law Office Louhi Oy and OmaSp.
“There are still exhibition booths available for the fastest entrepreneurs. In addition to booths, there are other cooperation opportunities for companies. For example, two of our main partners are offering exhibitors a breakfast together before the fair starts,” Hänninen says.
In addition to the indoor facilities of Cocks Arena, the fair spreads to the arena’s courtyard area, where logistics services provider KM Viita Oy and car dealership Auto-Sorsa Oy will present themselves. In addition, Hyria Oy, which provides education, coaching and rehabilitation services, will bring a driving simulator truck to the area. Thirsty and hungry fair visitors will be served both on the arena floor and from the café facilities on the arena’s second floor.
The free event is open to the public on Saturday, October 3 from 10 AM to 6 PM. During the day Cocks Arena (Hj. Elomaan katu 4, Riihimäki) will host company presentations, speeches, entertainment and other programs for visitors of all ages.
The business fair is organized by Business Riihimäki, the Riihimäki Entrepreneurs Association and the City of Riihimäki in cooperation with the municipalities of Hausjärvi, Janakkala and Loppi and with entrepreneurs and entrepreneur organizations.
