Asko Huilla won the Janakkala Sahti Championship
The Janakkala Sahti Championship was contested this year at Tervakoski’s Tervafest. A record number of sahti samples were submitted and the judges had a total of nine samples to evaluate. It’s great that new competitors were also excited to vie for the Janakkala Sahti Master title!
The competition was close, as in previous years. A total of three competitors tied for third place. The Sahti championship was won, however, by Asko Huilla, who is a familiar Sahti Master from previous years as well. The judges praised the color of Asko’s sahti and, above all, its taste. Asko’s sahti was considered successful in every way.
Asko will go on to compete in August in Padasjoki at the Finnish Sahti Brewing Championships. We wish Asko lots of luck and encouragement for the upcoming national competition!
