Green transition operational environment – Low-carbon Industrial Park MORE

Knowledge Increases Functionality project

The Knowledge Increases Functionality project enables cooperation between the municipalities of Janakkala, Forssa, and Hattula as part of the digital transition. The project promotes common development goals for digital services identified in the participating municipalities in construction and land use applications.

Digital services in the municipality form a systemic whole, aiming to eliminate overlapping processes and enhance operations, especially in permit matters. The development targets are systematically the quality depiction, assessment, and improvement of data sets and, in terms of competence, training and involving the personnel using them. Application development targets include geographic information systems, permit services, and modernizing building supervision and land use. Project funding is provided by the Ministry of Finance.

YHDESSÄ project 1.8.2022-31.11.2023

Recreational services are part of the YHDESSÄ (together) project funded by the Finnish Institute of Occupational Health, managed by Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences. Approximately 20 municipalities are involved in the project. The project offers those working in recreational guidance in the municipality the opportunity to participate in online group guidance in spring 2023. The aim of these meetings is to support the wellbeing, social support, and belonging of those working in recreational guidance. More specific questions/goals will arise from topics raised by the group. The group allows participants to discuss matters that are important to them with others working in similar environments and roles. The exchange of thoughts and experiences among peers opens new perspectives on the discussed themes and provides support. The project’s research focuses on factors affecting the well-being of those working in recreational guidance and monitors the effects of the online guided group on their wellbeing, especially from the perspective of social support. As a result of the project, a model for supporting wellbeing will be created for municipalities’ recreational services.

In the municipality of Janakkala, the project is participated by special sports instructor Päivi Pirnes. Head of sports services Inkeri Jortikka is part of the project’s steering group.
