The 9-member municipal board is a body that prepares the matters to be addressed by the council and is responsible for the administration and finances of the municipality. The municipal board oversees the interests of the municipality, represents the municipality, and exercises its speaking rights.

The council elects the municipal board for two years at a time.

The municipal board usually meets 2 to 3 times a month. In addition to the representatives of the municipal board, the council’s chairpersons are present with speaking rights (without voting rights). The municipal manager acts as the presenter.

Meetings of the municipal board are not public. Agendas are sent to members in advance and published on the municipality’s website in the public information network. Agendas are generally published on the Friday before the meeting, and minutes are published immediately after they are prepared.
