Library card

The first library card is free. Replacement of a lost or damaged library card:

• adults 4 euros
• children 2 euros

Late fees and reminders

• 0.20 euros/loan/day, maximum 6 euros/loan
• No late fees are charged for materials from the children and youth sections
• 1st late reminder: free of charge, sent by email/letter
• 2nd late reminder: free of charge, sent by email/letter
• 3rd late reminder: 5 euros, always sent by letter
• invoice: borrowing ban, the material is transferred to external debt collection

Unpaid fees remain the customer’s debt. Materials in collection proceedings and fees of 20 euros or more result in a borrowing ban. Compensation for lost or damaged materials is charged as determined by the library.

Reservations

Placing a reservation is free. A reservation must be collected within 7 days of the arrival notice being sent. A fee is charged for uncollected reservations of adult materials.

• uncollected reservation of adult material: 1 euro/reservation/item
• The fee does not apply to uncollected reservations of children’s and youth materials

Interlibrary loans

• interlibrary loan from Finland: 8 euros/item
• interlibrary loan from the Nordic countries: 10 euros/item
• interlibrary loan from other countries: approx. 30 euros/item
• reproduction fees as determined by the supplying library

Other fees

• copy/print A4: black and white €0.50/item, colour €1/item
• copy/print A3: black and white €1/item, colour €2/item
• scan: €1/item, free for self-service
