Let’s head to the countryside – Guided half-day trip to Janakkala
The guide will meet the group at Tarinmaa, Janakkala church. We will explore the area around Janakkala church, see the Crofters’ Memorial and the battle sites of the 1918 war in Tarinmaa as well as the Spring of St. Lawrence. Stories about Hangastenmäki and Hakoinen castle hill will be shared from the bus.
During the tour, the guide will talk about the Tervakoski manor area and the paper mill. From Leppäkoski, we will continue to the childhood landscape of the great actress Ida Aalberg, heading towards the Kiipula vocational school area.
At Hakola berry farm, we can get acquainted with the farm’s animals. Additionally, there is a shopping opportunity, offering various items such as beeswax candles, flours, and juices. For an additional fee, a soup lunch or coffee with sparkling wine can be arranged.
Next, we will continue to Turenki, another population center in the municipality. The Kalpalinna ski resort and the Ilveslinna residential area will be seen along the way towards Tarinmaa, where the tour ends.
The duration of the guidance is 4 hours or as agreed with the group’s own bus. Guidance is provided in Finnish.
