1) Handmade paper -cabin (8 y). On my way to school, I walk past the Tervakoski paper mill. This building has stuck in my mind since I heard about this competition; I immediately knew which building I wanted to create.
2) Vähikkälä school (13 y). Vähikkälä school is the oldest school in Janakkala. It is about 144 years old, a yellow log building.
3) Tervakoski church (11 y).
4) Water monsters/Tervakoski swimming hall (8 y). I like the swimming hall. It’s fun to go there. My best friend and I are terrible water monsters. It’s really important to me that I can swim in summer and winter, even every day.
5) Lastujärvi Kota (10 y). The lynx hangs out at Lastujärvi Kota in winter.
6) Vähikkälä community house (12 y). I chose the Vähikkälä community house because it’s a familiar place to me. I have helped organize the Vähikkälä Heinäpäivät there, and we go there for physical education with the school. School celebrations also take place at the community house. I have participated in many other events, hobbies, and celebrations there.
7) Dream Vähikkälä school (9 y). I chose Vähikkälä school because I go to that school, and it is a nice and fun school. It’s nice to attend school there. I added horses to my work because they are my favorite animals, and it would be nice if there were also animals at school. I also included Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, a Christmas tree, and a gingerbread table in my work, as they relate to Christmas.

9) St. Lawrence Church (12 y).
10) Tervakoski hedgehog. The octagonal building, called a hedgehog, built in the 1860s is the oldest of the current factory buildings. It was originally built as a water purification plant and has also served as a fire station.

13) Mr. Lynx’s house (12 y). I came up with the idea for this thinking that the lynx of Janakkala should also have its own house.
14) Funland (8-11 y). The work depicts the most important things for the creators in Funland, Funbear, water slides, and the racetrack. Plus, some other decorations.
15) Turenki railway station (14 y). A winter railway station, with a lynx on the roof in accordance with the Janakkala coat of arms.
16) Tanttala school (13 y). Tanttala school is a small village school built in 1939 with about 30 students in Tanttala village.
