Dangerous smoke in the air in Tervakoski

A danger notice has been issued for Tervakoski due to a fire at the Hyötymäki recycling station.

There is smoke in the air that is hazardous to health. People in the area are advised to stay indoors, close ventilation, and await a notice that the hazardous situation has ended. Firefighting operations are underway and are expected to continue at least through today.

Tervakoski’s daycares are operating with restrictions and are acting as required by the situation.
Parents are being informed about the situation.

Tervakoski Library is closed until further notice. The self-service library is also closed.
