Library Card

The first library card is free of charge. Renewal of a lost or damaged library card:

• adults 4 euros
• children 2 euros

Overdue Fines and Reminders

• 0.20 euros/loan/day, maximum 6 euros/loan
• no overdue fines for children’s and youth section materials
• 1st late reminder: free of charge, sent by email/mail
• 2nd late reminder: 2 euros, always sent by mail
• invoice: 5 euros, always sent by mail

Unpaid fees remain as debts for the customer. Material under collection and fees exceeding 20 euros will result in a borrowing ban. Compensation determined by the library will be charged for lost or damaged materials.

Reservations

Making a reservation is free of charge. The reservation must be picked up within 7 days of the notification of arrival. A fee will be charged for uncollected adults’ section reservations.

• uncollected adults’ section material reservation: 1 euro/reservation/item
• the fee does not apply to uncollected children’s and youth section material reservations

Interlibrary Loans

• interlibrary loan from Finland: 8 euros/item
• interlibrary loan from the Nordic countries: 10 euros/item
• interlibrary loan from other foreign countries: approx. 30 euros/item
• fees for copies determined by the sending library

Other Fees

• copy/print A4: black and white 0.50 euros/item, color 1 euro/item
• copy/print A3: black and white 1 euro/item, color 2 euros/item
• scanning: 1 euro/item, self-service is free
