Summer camps 2026

Application period for the camps extended until May 3, 2026!

Summer camps at the Mallinkainen camp center as well as day camps in Janakkala are back again. There will be a varied program, including crafts, outdoor activities, swimming and pleasant time together.

Overnight camps at Mallinkainen:

Camp 1: Heroes of the Manors June 1-2, 2026
At this camp we will get to know the manors of Janakkala and their stories. Are you ready for exciting adventures? All kinds of crafts are, of course, part of a good and lively camp, not forgetting playing games. Sauna and swimming are also part of the Mallinkainen camp tradition.
A maximum of 30 campers will be accepted. The camp is intended for 7–12-year-olds.

The camp starts on Monday June 1 at 9:00 and ends on Tuesday June 2 at 14:00.
The price of the camp is 30€ per participant.

Camp 2: Celebrations Through the Ages June 3-5, 2026
At this camp we will hold our own celebrations in honour of Janakkala’s 160th anniversary year. The program naturally includes decorations, festive dressing and a celebratory dinner prepared by the campers. Not forgetting sauna and swimming! The atmosphere at this camp certainly won’t be cold. 
A maximum of 30 campers will be accepted. The camp is intended for 9–12-year-olds.

The camp starts on Wednesday June 3 at 9:00 and ends on Friday June 5 at 14:00.
The price of the camp is 40€ per participant.

Camp 3: In the Footsteps of the Factories June 8-9, 2026
At the “In the Footsteps of the Factories” camp we dive into the world of ice cream and explore its flavors and secrets in the spirit of the Turenki ice cream factory. During the camp we will design and create various paper crafts, inspired by the creativity and joy of making found in factories. Togetherness and a good atmosphere are an important part of the camp, and the traditional highlights of summer camp – sauna and swimming – will of course not be forgotten.
A maximum of 30 campers will be accepted. The camp is intended for 7–12-year-olds.

The camp starts on Monday June 8 at 9:00 and ends on Tuesday June 9 at 14:00.
The price of the camp is 30€ per participant.

Camp 4: Youth Camp June 10-12, 2026
At the youth camp young people plan their own program, and the rules are drawn up together with the instructors. A youth camp would, of course, be nothing without sauna, swimming, hanging out and playing together! So come relax and hang out at this camp with other young people.
A maximum of 30 campers will be accepted. The camp is intended for 12–15-year-olds.

The camp starts on Wednesday June 10 at 10:00 and ends on Friday June 12 at 15:00.
The price of the camp is 40€ per participant.

Ystäviä merten yli – joint camp with participants from Kadrina

The “Friends Across the Seas” camp for 10–13-year-olds with participants from the twin municipality of Kadrina will be held at the Mallinkainen camp center on June 15-17, 2026.

This summer we will once again host campers from our friend municipality Kadrina, Estonia. The camp will be held on June 15-17, 2026 at the Mallinkainen camp center. At the camp we will play games, do crafts, swim and sauna together. Participants in this camp will have priority for the camp held in Estonia next summer. It would be good for participants to know some English. Participation is only possible if you can stay overnight at the camp center for the entire duration of the camp!

The camp starts at the camp center on Monday June 15 at 9:00 and ends on Wednesday June 17 at 14:00. Registration is binding!
The price of the camp is 20€ per participant. The invoice for the camp will be sent home.

Day camps

Activity Camp in Tervakoski July 27-31, 2026
This camp takes place at the Seuratalo premises in Tervakoski and the surrounding area. During the camp we will do crafts, outdoor activities, baking and play various games during the camp week. The camp is run as a day camp from Monday to Friday, 9:00–15:00. This camp is intended for 7–12-year-olds. The price of the camp is 30€ per participant.

Activity Camp in Turenki August 3-7, 2026
This camp takes place at the Välkky school center premises in Turenki and the surrounding area. During the camp we will do crafts, outdoor activities, baking and play various games during the camp week. The camp is run as a day camp from Monday to Friday, 9:00–15:00. This camp is intended for 7–12-year-olds. The price of the camp is 30€ per participant.

This summer, the camps organized by the municipality of Janakkala will emphasize the 160th anniversary year in their programs. We will explore Janakkala’s history in various ways and include different historical elements in the programs and crafts. However, the camps emphasize pleasant shared activities and relaxation. You can never have too much fun and togetherness.

Applications for the camps start on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at 9:00!

• If the child/family needs support to pay the camp fee, add this information in the “additional information” field when registering and briefly describe the family’s situation and the need for support.

• We cooperate with Janakkala Lions Club/Idat and can enable camp participation also for families who would not otherwise be able to attend.

Places are filled in the order of registration. Registration is binding. The invoice for the camp will be sent home. Camp letters will be sent to campers during May.
