Accessibility Statement

The municipality of Janakkala’s website was renewed in early 2023. Accessibility has not yet been assessed after the renewal. The technical implementer of the site is contractually committed to delivering a website that meets AA-level technical requirements. During the renewal, we have paid attention to the technical and content accessibility of the site. The entire website of the municipality of Janakkala includes the main site and separate sites implemented with the same publishing system:

The accessibility of the aforementioned sites is the responsibility of the municipality of Janakkala. The technical implementer of the sites is Valu Digital Oy, and the sites have been created using the WordPress publishing system.

We are committed to improving the accessibility of our online services. We are continuously working on enhancing accessibility. We have developed accessibility guidelines and organized training for website editors. In addition, we have arranged internal training on producing accessible documents and encouraged all staff to complete online training on accessible documents. We have also offered training in official language and are paying attention to improving the comprehensibility of texts.

Important to note

The principle followed on the site is that internal links open in the same tab, while files and external links open in a new tab.
