Tervakoski’s Luulionlahti Bird Tower
The observation tower is a great place to watch forest animals, small birds, etc. Bring binoculars, a bird book, and tasty snacks
– the tower is a nice, easily accessible destination for the whole family!
Directions to the Bird Tower (Navi: Savilahdenpiha, Tervakoski)
Directions: From downtown Tervakoski, take Vähikkäläntie towards Puuhamaa for about 400m – turn right onto Tervajoentie – then turn right onto Tammirannan puistotie – Savilahdentie – Savilahdenpiha. Cars can be left at the parking lot on the right at the end of Savilahdentien, from there walk along the pedestrian path towards the shore. The boardwalk to the tower starts at the shore where the walking path begins to turn uphill. There is also an information sign at the location.
The tower was completed in 2018 as a project funded by Tervakosken Suruton ry. The design and construction of the tower were led by Jouko Alhainen with the help of a group of volunteers. The landowner is Janakkala municipality.
