Taaran Market and Sleep Outside in Laurinmäki on August 30, 2025
Welcome to Laurinmäki for everyone interested in history and cultural heritage, regardless of age, status, or the color of their squirrel skins. As usual, a traditional old-fashioned market will take over the entire museum area from 14:00 to 18:00. There will be plenty to see and experience throughout the day and evening. Taaran market is part of the European Cultural Heritage Days.
The program will be published in May.
You can spend the night outdoors in your own tent or hammock in the Laurinmäki area. The Yellow House lunch café will be open throughout the event (from 14:00 to 18:00). There will be an evening campfire, grilling opportunities, and a sauna heating up in the evening, plus a plentiful breakfast spread will be available on Sunday for overnight guests and anyone else. The museum’s toilets and trash bins are available for use.
Entry to the event is free, but it’s advisable to bring a card and some cash for purchases at the market and café.
Parking instructions
Please follow the signs to the parking areas. Walking through the cemetery and along the light traffic path.
