Welcome to discuss the wellbeing of children and young people
On Thursday, January 29, from 5–7 PM an Erätauko discussion on the wellbeing of children and young people will be held at the Välkky school center. The purpose of Erätauko discussions is to practice equal, constructive dialogue and to promote a culture of dialogical discussion in Janakkala.
The Erätauko discussion on the wellbeing of children and young people is the first part of a series of discussions related to implementing Janakkala’s new strategy. The event aims to increase shared understanding of the strategy’s objectives and to bring new perspectives and ideas to the strategy’s implementation about concrete actions we can take together to achieve these goals.
The strategy states: “We take responsibility for children and young people. Increasing the wellbeing of children and young people brings vitality and is an investment in the municipality’s future. We create a growth environment where it is good to live and where people want to build an awesomely good life.”
Measures for evaluating the implementation of the strategy have been defined as: improvement in the results of school health surveys above the national average, raising the TEAviisari indicators for comprehensive education to a good level, and improvement in Move! results above the national average.
For the discussion on the wellbeing of children and young people, residents, municipal employees, young people and parents are invited to the circle of equal dialogue so that the matter is examined from a variety of perspectives. In addition, members of the audience present will also have the opportunity to take turns participating in the discussion.
