Seutusummit brought together municipalities and entrepreneurs to accelerate the region’s development


The Seutusummit, held for the third time, brought together the municipalities of Hausjärvi, Janakkala, Loppi and Riihimäki, entrepreneurs and developers to discuss the region’s future and investment prospects on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 in Loppi. The event strongly highlighted a shared determination to develop the area and strengthen its vitality. The region’s entrepreneurs’ associations participated for the first time, bringing their strong perspective to the area’s development.

The aim of the regional contract, guiding regional development is to create 1,000 new jobs in the area. Achieving this goal requires close cooperation between the municipalities, companies and other actors. Seutusummit serves as an important meeting place where common objectives are advanced with concrete actions.

The event also reviewed the region’s investment prospects.
”In the coming years, investments worth hundreds of millions of euros are planned for the region, which will strengthen the area’s vitality and create new opportunities for business activity and employment,” says Loppi’s chief executive Mikko Salmela.

The four municipalities’ shared determination to develop the area is strong, and the atmosphere at the event clearly reflected a forward-moving spirit.

A significant step forward was also the active participation of the region’s entrepreneurial organizations. Closer cooperation between entrepreneurs and municipalities creates new opportunities to develop vitality, support business growth and attract new investments to the area.
Strengthened cooperation is visible in concrete joint development actions, increased information exchange and better consideration of companies’ needs in decision-making. The region’s municipalities and entrepreneurs’ associations are committed to continuing close cooperation so that the area’s development potential can be fully utilized.
The annual Seutusummit is part of long-term work to build a vital, growing and cooperation-based region for the Hausjärvi, Janakkala, Loppi and Riihimäki area.
