Service break in building control’s electronic permit services starting 15 Dec
Due to changes to the Building Act coming into force on 1 January 2026, there will be a service break in the building control’s electronic permit service starting on 15 December 2025. Required changes will be made to the system during the break. The end of the break will be announced separately. It is estimated that the service will be fully available again in week 2. The last day to submit permit applications this year is 12 December 2025.
