Registration for the clubs of The Janakkala model for leisure activities begins on August 18
The Janakkala model for leisure activities offers over 40 different groups to participate in and try various activities this year. The groups have now been published for review, and registration begins on Monday, August 18 at 12 PM.
There are also several remote clubs available (such as a new digital horse club) as well as the familiar physical activities and handicrafts.
All clubs are free of charge. Pupils from the same school can participate from any age group as long as the schedules of lessons and clubs align with the school timetable.
– However, it remains the responsibility of the parents to ensure that the chosen group starts immediately after school ends, the leisure activities coordinator Arja Salomaa reminds.
Transportation pupils will receive a ride home after the activity. A child can also register for a group from another school, but in this case, transportation is their own responsibility.
The model for leisure activities is based on the idea that every child living in the municipality should have the opportunity to engage in hobbies. The club preferences have been implemented based on a survey prepared by the National Agency for Education, which was completed in January 2025.
