Plans for the new bridge on Turengintie are progressing

The new bridge crossing the railway in Turenki is currently at the design stage. Detailed information is now being collected as a basis for planning; the study includes, in addition to the bridge design itself, for example the need for land areas required by the construction project and land ownership.

The timing of the construction is not yet known; the estimate is around the year 2030.

Road traffic between Turenki and the motorway will not be interrupted; the plan includes a temporary replacement bridge connection that will be kept open for the duration of construction.

Once completed, the new bridge will be higher, wider and otherwise better than the current one, for example in terms of safety and traffic flow. The bridge will be built to a 100-year life-cycle requirement.
