Penkkarit and the senior dances at Janakkala upper secondary school

During the first week of February the second-grade students take over the Janakkala upper secondary school’s premises as the graduating students go on study leave.

Penkkari rides on Thursday, Feb 5

In Tervakoski the seniors’ (graduating students’) truck departs at 11:00 from the front yard of the Valo school centre, between the old and new school, to the primary school and returns to the school via the Pikkuniittu daycare.

In Turenki the seniors’ trucks leave the school yard at 12:00 and travel via Välkky, Harviala and Tarinmaa, then back to the school. The route length depends on the weather: if it’s very cold, the ride is shorter.

Senior dances

In Tervakoski the evening celebration of the senior dances (second-graders) will be held on Thursday, Feb 5 at the Delfort Arena at 18:00. The public is welcome to watch Thursday’s dances, but also on Friday, Feb 6 at 9:30 and 11:00; the latter has more space.

In Turenki the public can come to watch the dances at the sports hall on Friday, Feb 6 at 12:15.
