Parents’ network in Janakkala
A network for parents is being established in Janakkala.
The purpose of the network is to bring together parents, schools, daycares, and parent associations, to hear families regarding the planning of activities and decision-making that affect them. The network also provides peer support and shares current issues.
This is not a bureaucratic entity, but a very informal network where one can bring and discuss current issues concerning children and youth. Visitors may also be invited to meetings.
– The network is a place where, for example, civil servants from the education department can come to share updates on current reforms or where we can collectively consider challenges like nighttime moped riding, describes welfare director Hanna Paikkala.
– In a child-friendly municipality, it is important that work is done together with children, youth, and families.
We hope to see parents from as wide a range as possible throughout the municipality. The common denominator is that the family has one or more children under 18, whether they are at home or in high school.
We are currently looking for those interested in the network for the first meeting, where we will outline the activities. Signing up for the planning meeting does not obligate participation in the network’s activities or anything else.
Please provide your contact details to receive an invitation to the planning meeting of the Parents’ Network.
