Muskari is sold
A buyer has been found for the former municipal doctor’s house in Pyhämäki, Turenki, which later operated as a music institute and is known as Muskari, after a second auction round. The buyer is a private individual.
The building is of local historical value and may not be demolished (zoning designation sr-7), so the only real option is to renovate the property for use.
The building suffered massive water damage during the severe temperatures after the end of the auction. The municipality will take care of drying the premises until the sale is completed so that the damage does not worsen. The sale can be concluded after the appeal period has ended, and according to the highest bid the purchase price is 4,889€.
No offer was accepted for the other building in the area up for auction, Vapari (former municipal hospital). The terms of sale will be clarified, or alternative ways of finding a buyer for that building will be considered.
